Interestingly, he is a brand ambassador of the iconic Mercedes-Benz brand. The Finnish driver has done many commercials throughout the years for the German manufacturers. And one of his most popular Mercedes ads also includes Tennis legend, Boris Becker. The ad was hilarious, as both Hakkinen and Becker are depicted as old men, playing golf and taking digs at each other.

Mika Hakkinen rules Mercedes F1 out of contention for the 2022 title

Mercedes has endured a tough start to the 2022 campaign as they have managed just 2 podiums in the first 4 races. “Mercedes clearly has quite complex problems with their car. It seems amazing to say it, but the World Championships are already looking out of reach. They understand the key problems, but time is running out to find solutions. This is the problem in F1 – the World Championship does not wait for you, the races keep coming and there is so little time to sort major problems out,” said Mika.

It is shocking to see that the Finnish driver has completely ruled the world champions out of the title race. It is true that Mercedes have had a tough start to the season and seems to be struggling, but it might be right to count them out after just 4 races.

They’re still 19 more races to go this season and there is a possibility that they can get on pace with the front runners. Hopefully, the German team can develop their W13 so that we can have an even more competitive grid this season.
