Lewis Hamilton, after years of formidable dominance in F1, has arrived at a stage where breaking and setting new records has turned into a routine. Earlier this season, at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, the seven-time world champion became the first-ever driver to secure 100 poles in the sport.

And here he stands, hardly months later, yet again becoming a centurion, but this time in an entirely different category; Lewis Hamilton has achieved a total of 100 Grand Prix wins in Formula 1 following the race win at Sochi last weekend.

And of course, this record-breaking weekend ended up opening the floodgates to appreciation from the entire world, including a couple of widely recognized tennis stars. seven-time singles Grand Slam title winner, Venus Williams, and four-time Grand Slam title winner, Naomi Osaka, lauded Hamilton’s feat on social media.

Hamilton posted an image on Instagram starring himself, the two trophies, champagnes, and the pit board used during the checkered flag at Sochi. He captioned the post with an emoji reading ‘100’. Along with the image, there was a video clip of his younger self revealing his urge to race in F1.

How Williams and Osaka reacted to the latest Lewis Hamilton post

Osaka replied to the post with a couple of celebratory emojis, extending her appreciation to the seven-time Formula 1 world champion. Meanwhile, Williams had two different comments, each being a reply to the image and the video. But, first, the image.

She wrote, “He’s a winner people, because of his attitude. Thanks for inspiring always.” Soon there popped up another comment from the 41-year-old. She had a laugh at herself for not being able to speak like Hamilton did at such a young age.

I wish I could have spoken this well at that age!” Williams said. The Williams sisters (Venus and Serena) and Osaka are a few of the Tennis stars to have constantly supported Hamilton through his career in F1. And the same applies to Hamilton as well, who has often aided Osaka through her tough times.

Overall, it looks like Hamilton has a lot more such ‘record-breaking’ moments to come, with the Briton set to compete in F1 for another couple of seasons. So, will Hamilton manage to secure an unreachable height in the sport before calling it a day?
