Lewis Hamilton took on a historic fourth win in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone to close in on team mate Nico Rosberg’s championship lead as he finished second. Rosberg, however, is currently under investigation after his team helped him via radio over a potential gearbox issue during the closing stages.

It was an eventful race with heavy showers before the starting. The race started behind the safety car.
Max Verstappen took third position after a brilliant drive and made the overtake of the race when he took on Nico Rosberg on the outside under tricky conditions. The young Red Bull driver looked comfortable despite the tricky conditions challenging Nico Rosberg more than once for second position.
