F1 Twitter Goes Mad as Lewis Hamilton & Max Verstappen Crash Into Each Other at Italian GP

The two title contenders, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, have crashed again. As the rivals were zipping around Monza, the Dutch driver jumped the curb heading into turn two. This saw him land over the seven-time world champion, sending both of them into the gravel.

Naturally, the world of Twitter burst into a storm of reactions, as this isn’t the first time the two have crashed into each other this season.

Twitter reacts to Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen colliding at Monza

As Lewis was coming out of the pits, Max was zipping down the main straight. As both of them headed into turn one, the Red Bull driver hit the kerb, which saw him land on top of Hamilton, taking both of them into the gravel trap. Both drivers must have been fuming, but the world of Twitter reacted differently.

How does this affect the championship?

The Dutch driver was hoping to take more points from this weekend at the Italian Grand Prix. However, his duel with Hamilton will affect the drivers’ standings heavily, as both of them were taken out of the race.

However, the Red Bull driver is still grateful that he still has a five-point gap over the Mercedes driver. Meanwhile, Lewis might be furious with himself, as this result doesn’t see him bag any points and doesn’t regain the lead in the championship.

The two title rivals will have a week off before they head off to Sochi for the Russian Grand Prix. Both Hamilton and Verstappen will make sure such an incident won’t occur again and hope to seize some points for their respective teams.
