Former Los Angeles Lakers Player Seeking an NBA Return

Former Los Angeles Lakers player Lance Stephenson is reportedly seeking a return to NBA from the Chinese league.
Stephenson first played in NBA for Indiana Pacers. The Pacers drafted him in with the 40th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. He stayed in Indiana till 2014 before signing with Charlotte Hornets. After just one season with the Hornets, Stephenson went on to represent six different franchises in the next four years. This included stints at Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, a return to Indiana Pacers and finally Los Angeles Lakers.
Stephenson signed with the Lakers in 2018 and played a season alongside the likes of LeBron James. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports has now reported that Stephenson is wanting to return to play in NBA.

Will Los Angeles Lakers want to sign Lance Stephenson
Over his nine years in NBA, Stephenson played 508 games. He averaged a pretty ordinary 8.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. However, his numbers since going to China have seen a significant rise. Playing for Liaoning Flying Leopards, Stephenson has averaged 26.7 points (52 FG%) and 7.4 rebounds per game shooting 52 percent from field goals.

Coming back to the NBA, his numbers might not be as good as in China. But he might be a decent addition who can help in squad rotation. The Lakers have been looking for players to add to their depth to help them compete deep in the season. Whether Stephenson could be that addition remains to be seen.

In the only season with the Lakers, he averaged 7.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists playing16.5 minutes per game. If the Lakers do sign him this season, they will be expecting better numbers.
