The 2019 season is almost upon us and the first race of the season is Australia. Of course, the race weekend always kicks off with a pre-race press conference. Now, Formula One has announced the first drivers to be appearing in the press conference.
Mercedes driver and reigning champion, Lewis Hamilton will headline the occasion. The Briton will be joined by Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, his 2018 title rival, bidding for the elusive 5th title. Also joining them will be Red Bull’s Max Verstappen as he prepares for his first race with a Honda engine.
Daniel Ricciardo will also be featured, as the lone Australian in his home race, and his first race for Renault. Finally, Williams’ Robert Kubica, as he prepares for his first ever Formula One race since the 2010 season. The five drivers will be presiding in front of the media on Thursday.
Meanwhile, on Friday, it will be the turn of the Team Personnel at the press conference. The attendees will be Renault’s Cyril Abiteboult, Ferrari’s Mattia Binotto, Red Bull’s Christian Horner and Mercedes’ Toto Wolff.
One thing is or sure, the racing season is back with a vengeance and ready to thrill once again. Who will be this season’s protagonist? Lewis Hamilton again? Sebastian Vettel this time? A maiden title for Max Verstappen? Will there be a surprise on the cards? Stay tuned and Formula One is back!
