The 2020 F1 calendar is finally out and has confirmed a 22-Grand Prix season. In addition to that, there will be a reduced amount of testing, with the pre-season test limited to six days at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

Naturally, this will put teams under a lot of pressure to break in their new cars and iron out any niggling issues on-track ahead of the 2020 campaign.

As has always been the case, there have been two four-day tests at the Catalunya circuit. However, with an extra race added to the calendar next year, a compromise/sacrifice needed to be made.

F1 teams will also be dismayed to learn that there will be no more in-season tests, to make up for the packed schedule. This has been done to lay an even greater emphasis on testing parts in Friday free practice sessions.
