The Mothership has moved from what used to be Slurpy Swamp and is on its way to the Coral Castle! And the aliens have another special gun with their own improvements for you in this week’s Fortnite update.

Fortnite Update v17.40 is already live, and it brings a lot to the table. The major update will see the invasion reach its “climactic conclusion”, along with a new LTM and an extraterrestrial gun. And in this week’s highlights: Coral Castle is under attack, with the aliens planning on abducting it.

In order to get your hands on the Exotic Rifle to shoot some players, you will have to travel to the Coral Castles. As the Coral Castles have an alien invasion this week, it will be very similar to the Slurpy Swamp last week. The POI will have a similar low gravity zone with objects and players floating around.

Upon making your way to the Coral Castle, you will have to find a Kymera NPC – the one selling the new gun. It will be available for 500 Gold, so if you do not have enough of it, you will have to be strategic about it or just be street smart and loot from other players by eliminating them.

Every player will be on the lookout for the Kymera and the Exotic Pulse Rifle; the rule in the castle this week will be: hunt or be hunted.

The new rifle will have a 1.5x attached to it for aiming down sights with slower and more accurate shots. Both the hit fire and the scope bursts fire are quite accurate, but the burst takes a slight edge. Although it does not come with a silencer like the rest of the new guns, the stats talk for themselves.

The Imposters of the Battle Royale

Fortnite also introduced a new limited-time mode that will work in similar ways to the Among Us. This new mode will require players in the lobby to perform various tasks. Amongst the crew members, there will be an imposter(s) looking to isolate and execute the members. The mode will also have voting rounds to kick people out. The aim is to complete tasks and find out who the imposter is.

In all honesty, the Exotic Burst Rifle looks a little overpowered, but that will not stop players from abusing it. Will you learn from DC‘s Superman and be the one dishing out the damage, or will you stick to the traditional shotguns?
