Bronny James has arrived at Crypto.com Arena to cheer his father. The Lakers vs. Warriors game is underway as we speak. The age-old rivalry between the two teams surely seems to be an encouraging factor for LeBron James and Co.

The Lakers have historically been dominant in the series. If you look at the stats, the Lakers have won six of the seven playoff matchups against the Warriors. They are also tied for most championships in league history. Watching the game now certainly proves the dominance part.

LeBron James dedicates this season to Bronny James

Another factor for LeBron’s splendid form today would be his elder son, Bronny James’ appearance in the Crypto.com Arena. Dave McMenamin of ESPN tweeted, “Bronny is in the building.”

 

Earlier this year Bronny James was hospitalized due to a cardiac arrest. One can only imagine the distressing emotions the James family went through during the time. Bronny James, a freshman at Southern California is one of the top-ranked recruits in college basketball.

But with his son’s rise like a phoenix and a talented and deep roster, the 4x NBA champion is on a warpath to get his 5th chip. He averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 55 regular-season games in 2022-2023.

The historical rivalry between Lakers and Warriors

Unlike other rivalries, the Lakers vs. Warriors have mutual respect between them. That does not mean their on-court performances encompass the same trait. With Curry, Thompson and Green’s arrival, the Golden State Warriors have regrouped to maintain a strong foothold in the title run. A noteworthy example would be the 4 championships they landed (2015 to 2022).

The LA Lakers stumbled upon some hard times themselves. Especially when their top guard, Kobe Bryant announced his retirement. As with the Warriors, James and Davis’ deals with the team got their engine up and running. The Davis-LeBron duo won a championship in 2020, a decade after their last title.

When he was playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers (2014-2018), James went against Curry in 4 NBA finals appearances. It’s safe to say that Curry and the Warriors are on the top of James’s hit list.
