From TV Series to New Detective Pikachu Trailer: Here’s Every Major News Announced in Pokemon Presents 2023

Fans have waited eagerly for Pokémon Presents scheduled for August 2023. Gaming enthusiasts expected the event to come up with multiple announcements about new Pokémon-related materials. The beloved video game’s passionate fans speculated the event to provide updates ranging from anime, games, trading cards, and details about the Pokémon Go Championships. Despite recent issues, the gaming community also expected more news about the upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC at the event.

The Pokemon Company held the event on August 8 and we have a ton of new information on what to expect in the Pokémon universe in the next few days.

Pokémon Paldea Winds: New animated series

At the event, one of the most notable things to have been announced is information about Pokémon: Paldea Winds. The anime series will be set in the Paldea region. From what we have understood, the Paldea Winds will be an animated web series and is based on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

The main theme of the series will be focusing on a student attending school with the focus on becoming a renowned Pokémon trainer. Along with Paldea Winds, Pokemon: Path to the Peak has also been announced at Pokemon Presents. Path to the Peak is likely to be a new animated series based on the Pokemon trading card game. The Pokemon World Championships are likely to be the place where Path to the Peak will premier sometime later this week.

A sequel for Detective Pikachu and details about the game also came to the forefront. The Pokémon Presents event also gave a sneak peek into the next title of the franchise with a trailer. The trailer showcased new characters who are likely to lend a hand to Detective Pikachu to solve more complex crimes. Detective Pikachu Returns will hit the Nintendo Switch in early October.

However, the event didn’t end there and revealed a lot more incoming stuff for Pokémon fans. A Pokémon trading card game, as well as Pokémon Stadium, also made its reveal intended for Nintendo Switch Online. A new DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will arrive next month with Mew and Mewtwo expected to join its ranks.
