Serbian star Novak Djokovic has been playing some of his best tennis in 2020 and has only lost one match this year. That was because he was disqualified at the US Open. That was an unfortunate incident and according to Judy Murray, he is trying to make up for it at the French Open.
She said, “Novak will be looking to make amends for what happened in New York. He’ll want to get back on track and get everybody talking about his tennis again rather than his disqualification.”
At Roland Garros, the Serb has started perfectly. He thrashed his first two opponents in straight sets, and Judy had a lot of complimentary things to say about him.

“Djokovic looks focussed, calm and comfortable. I think being older and having been successful at so many Slams, you know you have to get the job done early…He was really good, solid, classy. No fuss, no drama. Easy. No sweat. Literally.”

Novak Djokovic is chasing a big record
Novak is playing some great tennis, but he is not just doing it to make amends. He is also chasing a huge achievement at the French Open, which is – the Double Career Slam.
This achievement requires a player to win all four Grand Slams twice, and nobody has done this in the Open era. The Serb could complete this at Roland Garros with this year being his best opportunity to do so.

Since the event is being played in September, the conditions are a lot cooler with a chance of rain. This suits Djokovic more than it does his nemesis – Rafael Nadal. That is why he could win it this year. The 17x Grand Slam champion will take another step towards that when he plays Daniel Galan tomorrow.
