Nelly Korda has had a bumpy ride of sorts in the year 2023. Although she was in high form in the previous two years, the 24-year-old had to sit out certain events due to a back injury.

But Nelly has an exciting development to look forward to. She has joined the all-star line-up in the PGA Tour 2K23 video game. The eight-time LPGA Tour winner became the fourth professional women’s golfer to become a part of the game.

With the release of the game, fans could play as many PGA Tour players like Tiger Woods, and Tony Finau, among others, and several of the LPGA Tour members. Recently, Nelly Korda saw her character in the game for the first time, and her priceless reaction has left her fans much delighted.

Nelly Korda reacts to the addition of her game character

As the female pro golfer took a look at her character model in the PGA Tour 2K23 game, she was visibly surprised to find out how much the in-game model represented her in reality. Earlier, while taking part in the latest iteration of the game, which is filled with real-life players and courses, the pro golfer must not have realized it would lead to such a result.

“That’s actually scary accurate.” said the golfer while mesemerized with the character resemblance. She went on to talk about how the swing looks good while her avatar drives the ball. Even the reaction after the shot was matched to look like the golfer as she watched the character in motion. Furthermore, she went on to term the dress as elegant as it was seen wearing white pants and a bright yellow shirt with all-white sneakers.

As she zoomed in on the video, she noticed the scrunchie that the character had on its head along with the hair which was exactly like how she wore it. “This is so cool!”, she exclaimed, as she mentioned how she could not wait to show it to her brother whom she had been playing golf video games since childhood.

At a pre-match conference at Pebble Beach before the 2023 US Women’s Open, Korda shared her previous experience with video games. She opened up about how she used to play the game called Tiger Woods PGA Tour with her brother Sebastian Korda. When asked about the most challenging hole and her game plan, she went on to talk about how her previous interaction with the Pebble Beach Golf course was through the game.

Recounting her experience, she said, “Actually, I played [hole] 7 on EA Sports. That was the one hole my brother [and I]… we always played. Pebble… and my favorite hole was always 7 on that game,”. Although the LPGA star had the experience of the hole, she could only finish at T64 with a score of 13-over-par 301 at the US Women’s Open.

A person would obviously be very excited to see one’s character become a part of a video game, and that is what happened as the American professional golfer watched her avatar for the first time. Despite her bumpy performance this year, she can rest easy on the thought that she became part of such a huge game. What do you think about the new game character? Let us know in the comments below.
