The saga of the court battles between Tiger Woods and Erica Herman has taken many twists and turns so far. But while new charges have been pondered over, past allegations and ugly cases are coming to light. Among those is Herman’s shocking court records, including her $240,000 debt, which could take over 67 years to pay back.

Shocking court case confirms Herman’s long-standing debt

For context, Herman worked as the director of operations at The Woods Jupiter, the legendary golfer’s South Florida restaurant. She was living off a wage of $1,586.54 a week, but that amount wasn’t credited completely to Herman.

That was because of her failed business long before she met Woods. According to court records, Herman and two of her friends, Jesse Newton, and Ricky McIntosh received a $200,000 investment from Florida investor, Tom Morris in 2010.

The trio had decided to set up a chain of five nightclubs throughout Orlando. They eventually opened a short-lived, late-night club named Don’t Tell Anyone, located in the hip Thornton Park area of Orlando, on New Year’s Eve, 2014.

However, the venture failed, and the bar was closed. Morris immediately filed suit and after months of ignoring and then attempting to fight, Herman conceded a loss. A verdict for $240,233.08, including interests and fines, was passed, which proved too hot to handle for the 38-year-old.

In 2015, Herman moved to Jupiter Island and landed a job in Tiger Woods’ famous restaurant. She was paid $1,586.54 a week before Morris caught up to her and demanded his lost money.

But in a turn of events, Herman’s return sum was garnished, which meant a part of her salary was directly sent to Morris. A total of $295.60 from her $1,586.54 salary was paid monthly, with the process to follow for the next 67 years.

Indeed, the case worked in favor of Herman, who would eventually become Woods’ lady love, and thus have access to his incredible wealth. However, there are no confirmed reports that state the golfer helped her to pay off the debt.

Alas, the budding relationship, which lasted six years, has come to an end, with a potential $30 million court battle to follow, which could just be another episode for Herman in her series of lawsuits.
