Phil Mickelson, or, as fans call him, a legend, has always been upfront with his opinion of the sport. The golfer has never shied away from speaking his mind, be it negative or positive, and now often takes to social media to share his views with the fans. Of late, he has engaged in a lot of wars of words, and now, addressing those rants, Mickelson has a cheeky golf tip for his fans.
In his recent social media appearance, not only did Lefty flaunt his amazing golf skills, but he cheekily also had some witty words for his fans!

Phil Mickelson shares a chipping tip with fans
Taking to Instagram, Lefty posted a video of himself sharing with fans how to chip in a better way. He began the video by introducing himself and said that he wants to share a little shot around the green. Mickelson also explained where the shot would come in handy during a game.

“If you are in a really bad lie, you might wanna putt it, that’s an easy way but if you want to fly it on the green or wanna give yourself the best chance, the toe-down chip is something, we all work on it.”
Mickelson was dressed in HyFlyer’s merchandise in the video: a customized cap and T-shirt. Continuing to explain his shot to the fans, he chipped it, and it jumped up perfectly, sailing towards the hole, missing it by mere inches!

But the golf pro wasn’t done yet. His hilarious wittiness remained! Captioning the video, he wrote, “I’ve been a bit “chippy” on Twitter lately. In honor of that, here’s a chipping tip to help you get out of some tough lies.” It is his wit like this that makes Mickelson the beloved golfer he is today, especially since he once again didn’t shy away from his recent Twitter war!

Mickelson has been advocating for LIV Golf pretty hard these days. He has expressed his strong take on USGA’s rule change and called it a d*ck move.
Many people, such as golf fans, former players, and journalists, have shared their opinion that LIV golfers do not qualify for OWGR rankings, and Mickelson has been giving them a piece of his mind. The 52-year-old golfer engaged in a Twitter clash with people over the OWGR discussion and has defended the Saudi-backed league for quite some time now.
