LeBron James’s son joined Grant Horvat on his latest Breaking 60 episode on YouTube. They had just started their round of 18, trying to beat the score, when they had an awkward encounter on the course. Playing on the Valencia Country Club, as they were driving to their first hole, Horvat came across some fans who wanted a few pictures with him.

The thing was, those folks attending the golf course might not have been aware of who Bronny James was. They thought he was just one of Horvat’s friends and didn’t pay heed to him. And James quickly picked up that he wasn’t recognized on the course. So he instead thought he might help out with the picture. He offered to take a picture of Horvat and the group as he said, “You want me to take it? I’ll take a group one with you all.”

Bronny James & Grant Horvat rip apart Valencia Country Club

At the beginning of the video, Bronny James had already mentioned how he had shot his best score of 81 a couple of weeks ago. That confirmed that he was already practicing golf long enough to get around a 9 handicap. However, what he did after that was what impressed Grant Horvat more. The Lakers star drove a couple of balls fairly straight in the practice range, which was amazing for someone who wasn’t from the sport.

So did Horvat & James end up ‘Breaking 60’? It was a tall mountain to climb as they had to score 13-under to achieve that feat. As Bronny had mentioned during the practice rounds, his strength on the course was chipping. And the duo took advantage of that on the second hole itself after he landed an excellent wedge shot that landed 6 feet from the cup. He had a few good drives throughout the round and made some great putts.
