Bubba Watson Once Voiced His Strong Comments on the Golf Etiquette of Tiger Woods and Many Others

Golf is a sport that adheres to many laws and etiquette. There are a few traditions in the sport which are followed to date. However, things have been changing, but still, there is slight rigidity in golf if we compare it to other sports. Bubba Watson, the winner of two Masters, gave his views regarding the etiquette of Tiger Woods and many other golfers.

A couple of years back, Bubba gave an interview. There the interviewer asked him a few questions regarding a few traditions like the dress code that needs to be followed on a golf course. And his views on wearing shorts in professional golf.

“Now we are allowed to play practice and pro-ams in shorts,” said Bubba. “So there are some guys who skip leg day, you know Tiger Woods included. But he is posted on social media, you see him with the fish and all the stuff, and you see his legs. But they have got some video out there of him wearing shorts to practice rounds. So he does it on himself.”

However, Bubba says there are a few golfers who you don’t want to see in shorts. Moreover, he revealed that he doesn’t wear shorts and has no plans in the future to wear them.

Bubba Watson initially clarified that he won’t be wearing shorts, and he hopes that the game is not moving towards it. He says, “It’s sad we are trying to call ourselves athletes, and we are hiring a guy to carry our bag. And now you are like hey it’s too hot for us we need shorts. So hopefully we are not going to that point,” concluded Watson.

Bubba, a two-time major championship winner with two green jackets and has won 12 PGA championship titles, would like to continue golfing the traditional way, especially when it comes to attire.
