But to everyone’s surprise, Barkley told ‘The Post’ that he was going to participate at the Trump National in Bedminster next week. “I’m going to play in the Pro-Am,” said Barkley.
As per sources, Barkley is under a contract with Turner for $30 million for three years. But there are high chances that Greg Norman has already prepared a contract for the NBA legend. LIV is acting in this manner because it wishes to be completely competent in comparison to PGA. Furthermore, they have also included golf legends like Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, etc. to join their league by proposing them offers they couldn’t deny.

Barkley was on an episode of the Pat McAfee Show, where he jokingly said that he could “kill a relative” for $200 million. His statement was in reference to the high amounts being paid to the former PGA players to join LIV Golf. Later, he confirmed last week that he was going to meet the LIV chief on Wednesday. And on Thursday, the player made a statement saying he was going to play in next week’s Pro-am.
He even made a few statements about the PGA Tour in humor and showed support for the LIV players for the US Open. “I want all the LIV guys on top of the leaderboard… I want to see the PGA Tour shaking in their damn boots,” he said.

Charles Barkley gave clear signs showing his interest in participating in the LIV Tour for the money it offered before the meeting. However, it looks like he is finally achieving what he wanted after he met Greg Norman. Hopefully, we’ll be seeing the NBA star swinging his club on the field next week.
