Team World’s star performer, Charley Hull, nearly helped push her side into the finals of the 2025 International Crown. Unfortunately, her singles win in the Semifinal wasn’t enough for them to beat the eventual winners, Team Australia. Yet, the Englishwoman, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, and Wei-Ling Hsu were truly spectacular throughout the four days of the event. Recently, Hull expressed that she couldn’t be prouder of the effort they put in throughout the event, despite their inexperience.

Apart from Hull, everyone else in Team World was making their debut in the Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown. After they finished third in the tournament, the 29-year-old shared a motivational message to acknowledge everyone’s hard work: “What a week repping Team World 🌍🔥 Proud of the girls for finishing third and buzzing to get the wins in my singles on Sunday to finish on a high 👊.”

Hull shared glimpses from the tournament along with the message and also tagged all her teammates to ensure the message went through. The World Team was absolutely dominating in the Pool stage. They won four matches, lost one, and tied two. However, in the Semifinals, despite Charley Hull’s singles win, Henderson succumbed under pressure against Minjee Lee, and the foursome match went into sudden death after an 18th hole blunder from Ko & Hsu.

However, they shuffled things up when competing for third place, as Hull & Ko opted for singles matches this time. They won their individual matches while Henderson & Hsu tied against Team Japan. That helped them secure the bronze medal in the 2025 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown.

Hull has been dealing with back issues ever since being diagnosed with spinal scoliosis.. The pain got the better of her, and that is perhaps why she and Lydia Ko tied on Thursday.

However, Hull has been great in other rounds. She won both her singles matches. Ko and her also won a foursome match in the second round. The only loss she suffered in the tournament was when she was partnered with Ko during the third day foursome contest against Sweden’s Maja Stark and Linn Grant. But by all means, Charley Hull & Team World proved themselves to be the third-best side in the 2025 Hanwha LIFEPLUS International Crown.
