On Tuesday, Alexa Pano, a 17-year-old golf prodigy, announced that she was turning professional. Moreover, the decision came after she accomplished her goal of playing in the final round at Augusta National Women’s Amature, where she finished tied in 12th position.

Pano is the 64th-ranked amateur globally and is a famous name in the amateur circuit. She will play her first event as a professional in April on the Epson Tour. Moreover, Paige came out with her take and backed Alexa on her decision to turn professional and not opt to play college golf.

Paige Spiranac Responds to a Fan Inviting Her for a Seafood Dinner

Paige made the tweet through her official Twitter account. The tweet said, “Hot take but I think it’s better to turn pro than go to college if you’re that good. College can ruin your game.” Moreover, Paige herself was a college golf player.

She played college golf for the University of Arizona. Spiranac also won the All-MountainWest Conference honors twice. The former professional also helped the university win its first Mountain West Conference championship in 2015.

As soon as Paige made the tweet, golf Twitter started to react to the news. Moreover, her fans from all over the globe began to respond to her opinionated tweet. The majority of the reactions did not agree with her opinion about not playing golf at the collegiate level. Instead, they should turn professional. All about Spiranac’s golf career

The 29-year-old professional played professional golf in 2015. Spiranac registered her first win as a professional in 2016. She won on the Cactus Tour and also won the event at the Orange Tree Country Club.

However, she did not manage to make it through to the qualifying school. As a result, Spiranac could not secure her card for the LPGA Tour. Moreover, in December 2016, she announced her retirement from professional golf.
