The LPGA Tour is full of talented players from all over the world. And among these top players are Jessica Korda and Lexi Thompson. The Tour pros have made millions of fans with their performances on the field. Moreover, they have been working with several foundations and organizations to help and support various noble causes. In recent news, Korda and Thompson stepped forward to extend their hands towards a special cause.
Thompson and Korda recently posted pictures of themselves on Instagram to create awareness about a foundation. The MammoVan is an initiative from golf legend and major champion Morgan Pressel.

The golf great lost her mother, Kathryn Krickstein Pressel, to breast cancer in 2003 at the age of 44. It was a complete shock for her and the entire family. And that is when Pressel decided to take a step to honor her mother and help others suffering from the same.

Pressel took several steps to create awareness about the issue including her first Morgan & Friends Fight Cancer Tournament at St Andrews in 2008. But one of her most popular initiatives is the mobile mammography van, also called the Kathryn Krickstein Pressel ‘MammoVan‘. The van travels throughout South Florida providing convenient, state-of-the-art digital mammography equipment to everyone.
Her team of supporters includes LPGA Tour professionals Lexi Thompson and Jessica Korda. Other than being super-successful on the field, the two are also known for voicing their opinions over such social issues. And their arrival at the recent gathering with the Morgan Pressel Foundation displayed their concern for spreading awareness.

Jessica Korda shared a couple of stories on Instagram with her pictures standing ahead of the huge ‘MammoVan‘. “Unbelievably proud of you Mo…” Korda wrote. “The work you do makes such a HUGE difference. No one does it better than you. 16 years of honor and dedication…Let’s get another Van out doing mammograms on the go.”

On the other hand, Lexi Thompson posted a picture of the entire group of women standing together to support the cause. “Happy to be at @standrewsboca once again for such a great cause with @mpressel and her foundation.” she wrote in her caption.

It’s wonderful to see such influential women stand together to help people in need. While many hesitate to talk about such issues on social media, these strong individuals give hope to people to deal with such health disasters. And to see Thompson and Korda helping such a cause is an honor for the entire golf community.
