DeChambeau has lost a lot of weight ever since he switched to a healthy diet. The golfer admitted that despite all the muscle he gained to hit longer shots, he didn’t feel healthy inside. “I look like I’m 20 again, not 35,” he said. “I ate improperly for almost a year and a half and I was starting to feel weird, my gut was all messed up and so I went completely healthy and went on a Whole-30 diet, got a nutritionist”

The golf star admitted that his diet has impacted his health vastly and that eating healthy has helped him feel better. He also talked about how he was ignorant of what his body needed. Rather, he ate a lot and that resulted in him having issues in his stomach. “I ate things that were not great for my system that I was very sensitive to and ultimately it got to the point where it was a little bit too much,” DeChambeau said.

How did DeChambeau figure out what was best for him?
The golf professional is widely known for his scientific and calculated methods of playing golf. But in the case of his health, DeChambeau believes in trial and error. He explained how he could only figure out that being bulky wasn’t good for him when he had already been in that shape. “I start out with going to each side and then from there I best fit what works for me,” DeChambeau said. And that’s not all, the golfer said that he did the same for most things in his life.
