Can it be a double whammy for Dean Burmester? Only last week, the South African won the Joburg Open after his compatriot Thriston Lawrence fizzled in the final round. Going into the final round of the Investec South African Open Championship, Burmester is placed fourth behind Jayden Schaper, Ryan van Velzen, and Louis de Jager. not only Schaper, Velzen, and Jager, but Burmester has a few compatriots in the fourth position who are tied with him.
It’s an all-South African battle at the top, and Burmester needs a big final round on Sunday to pull off a win. He is one of the stars of the DP World Tour, and he is the man in form. At Blair Atholl Golf & Equestrian Estate, he has played some pretty decent golf so far, but what does he carry in the bag?
Burmester, a LIV Golf member who has returned to the DP World Tour, plays with Callaway Paradym drivers. They come in three types: Paradym, Paradym X, and Paradym Triple Diamond. They have a 360-degree carbon chassis that reduces the weight. The drivers can be bought for around $600 in the market.

Burmester uses Srixon ZX7 Mk II irons. A lot of golfers prefer them for the control they provide. The irons are meant for low handicappers and elite players. They are available for around $1,200. The South African’s wedges are Cleveland RTX 6 ZipCore, and his putters are Odyssey Seven. The wedges are available in four different grinds: low, low+, mid, and full. The key feature is the spin they can generate.
Well, the golfer’s ‘What’s in a Bag’ definitely doesn’t end here, and he has a stellar putter and an amazing ball in the bag.
