Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods are two of the best golfers of all time, and a new revelation about the unique link between the golfers has made quite a stir in the golf world. The new Twitter post from Golf Channel has brought notice to the unique relationship between Nicklaus and Woods.

After dominating the golf world for more than three decades, the Golden Bear of golf decided to retire. The maestro of the major championships played his last U. S. Open and PGA Championship in 2000 and last Masters and Open Championship in 2005. Interestingly, Woods won all the four majors, which were Nicklaus’ last ones.

Woods won the 2000 U. S. Open and the 2005 Open Championship without any difficulties with an overall 12-under and 14-under, respectively. However, he had to battle with other golfers in the playoffs in the 2000 PGA Championship and 2005 Masters. Moreover, Nicklaus couldn’t make the cut in any of his last majors.

Although this is an already known fact, not many haven’t paid attention to it until the Twitter post came up. Thus, the fans were very active in sharing their opinion about it.

Nicklaus joined the PGA Tour in 1962 and won his first major in the same year. The 1962 U. S. Open was just a start as the Golden Bear went on to win another 17 majors throughout his career, making him the only golfer to do so.

On the other hand, Woods has won 15 major championships in his career. He, too, began hunting the majors as soon as he joined the PGA Tour. He won his first major in 1997, a year after he turned pro, at the Masters. Woods is the only golfer to hold all the majors at the same time. He won the PGA, British Open, and the U.S. Open in 2000, and the Masters in 2001.

Both golfers have achieved so much in their careers. As a result, their fans are always engaging in debate about who the real GOAT is. And, the new Twitter post became one occasion where they got to brag about their favorite golfer.
