With the finale of the 2022 FedEx Cup, Rory McIlroy managed to grasp the win out of the hands of the World number one Scottie Scheffler. The event has earned a reputation for offering the highest prize money in the PGA Tour.

Talking about money in the sport of golf, no one has earned more than Tiger Woods. So has the Billionaire ever won the FedExCup, and if he has, how many did he win?

Undoubtedly, Woods is one of the most decorated golfers of all time. The 46-year-old has 82 PGA Tour wins which include 15 Major titles. Moreover, Tiger Woods remained number one seeded for a consecutive 683 weeks, which only helps in giving a depiction of his greatness.

However, FedExCup was only announced in 2005 and was first played in 2007. The FedExCup concludes the end of the PGA Tour season. With so many accolades to his name, has Tiger Woods ever managed to engrave his name on the FedEx Cup trophy?

Since the FedExCup was only first played in 2007, some of the greats of the game like Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, and many more, don’t have the cup in their resume. But when it comes to 15-time Major Champion, it’s safe to say Tiger Woods did win the FedExCup.

Tiger won the inaugural FedExCup in 2007, after a remarkable victory with a score of 23 under par. This marked addition of yet another significant trophy to Tiger Woods’ illustrious career.

Moreover, Woods went on to win his second FedExCup two years later, in 2009. With two wins in three years, he helped in making the Championship trophy a lot more relevant. Tiger came close to his third title in 2018 but fell short behind the winner Justin Rose. The 46-year-old’s two wins made him the player with the most FedExCup alongside his good friend Rory McIlroy.

However, with McIlroy winning his third FedExCup title, he has finally dethroned Tiger Woods. Nonetheless, Woods has proved in the past to never underestimate him when it comes to winning a big trophy.

Little do we know, the 46-year-old may rise the ranks again to win his third FedExCup win. So when it comes to the question of whether Woods has ever won a FedExCup, the answer is yes, not once but twice.
