Min Woo Lee, the Australian golfer, is active on social media and often gives glimpses of his course sessions. He is known for his favorite phrase, ‘let’s cook’, in his captions, which has garnered him a good fandom. The 24-year-old player’s adorable personality has helped him engage fans. It soon transformed him into a social media star, which indeed motivated him to deliver some brilliant performances on the field.

A recent spectacular gesture by him on the course was caught on camera and has garnered a lot of attention from the golf community. Let’s see what the fans had to say about yet another “real” trendy moment he shared with two young fans!

In the video shared by The Open on Instagram, captioned “Being real at The Open”, we can see two young fans who were on the course, trying to catch a glimpse of the star as he walked on the temporary bridge a few feet above them. When he saw them and stopped to say “hi”, the fans requested the Australian do the BeReal trend (a next-gen photo-sharing app) where the camera captures both the photo taker (from the front camera) and whoever is on the other end of the back camera.

The world no. 47 then caught the phone they threw at him from down below and took a selfie with a big smile and an even bigger thumbs up, with the young lads standing and posing on the other end. As soon as they got their phone back from the Aussie star, they walked away with excitement and disbelief, muttering phrases like “That’s a joke” and “No way” while giggling with happiness.

The video went viral all over Instagram and had fans from all over the world singing praises of Lee and his adorable gesture!

Many appreciated the Aussie’s heartwarming gesture towards his fans and commented,

“Min Woo is genuinely the best.”

“No one better. Young legend.”

“Man of the people.”

One expressed joy and commented, “Top bloke gave my son his golf ball at the British masters.”

While another felt excited and creatively wrote “Wooooo.”

One fan wrote about the star’s style statement: “Not only does he do things like this but he’s got some swagger. He seems to embarrass the attention,”

Amid his stunning off-course appearances, Woo Lee has not failed to dazzle his fans on the course either at the British Open. However, Let’s see: how likely is he to win the major and take home the Claret Jug?

Can Lee win the 151st Open Championship?

In the initial round of the 2023 Open Championships at the Royal Liverpool, Lee struggled a little with 2 bogeys during the first round. However, he picked up his pace and flaunted his brilliant skill on Friday, shooting 3-under 68. Now, ahead of the final round, the 24-year-old golfer is tied for 17th at a total of 2-under par at the major.

With one whole round to go at the major, anything is possible. However, 10 strokes separate him from the leader, Brian Harman. While it isn’t likely that Lee will grab his first major win this week, he has still undoubtedly left his mark on the golf world and the major.

While six of the ten Australian players on the field this week couldn’t make the cut at the 36-hole, Lee and Jason Day have managed to reach the top five at the Royal Liverpool. The Aussie youngster has been playing consistently well this past year and is now perhaps only inches away from achieving his goal of gaining PGA Tour membership.
