After a taste of success during the 2012-2014 period that saw the 43-year-old win two Masters, Bubba Watson had little to no success ever since the Majors. His last PGA Tour win came back in 2018 when he won the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands.
However, LIV Golf came to Watson’s rescue and reignited his career. The two-time Major Champion is reportedly earning an amount of about of $50 million. LIV Golf CEO, Greg Norman, was very keen to get Watson involved in the lucrative Tour.

The 67-year-old Aussie further added, “He’s a risk-taker who has cemented his name among the world’s very best and we’re eager for him to come aboard to bring new energy and audiences to this league.” When the former World No. 2 and Matt Wolff were featured in a promotional film that played during the first event in London, speculation intensified. Ahead of the second LIV Golf tournament in Portland, Wolff later signed to LIV, partnering with his fellow American, Watson.
Bubba Watson is anticipated to delay starting until the next year as he continues to heal from surgery. It is also unknown whose team he will captain. With an opportunity to restart his diminishing career, it will be exciting to see how Watson measures to the new challenges.
