Popstroke is miniature golf that entertains family-oriented golf along with promoting local breweries and thus includes food and beverages consistently. A former Wall Street executive at JP Morgan and later turned entrepreneur, Greg Bartoli, first opened a PopStroke in Port St. Lucie, Florida, back in 2019. Ever since then, this new venture towards a bridging point between professional golf’s innovation and the leisure of a pastime has brought forward the success of PopStroke. Only a year later, Tiger Woods whose present net worth is around $1.3 billion joined the team as an investor.

Other than his 82 PGA Tour wins, Tiger Woods has also created a legacy, off the course. He has many business ventures such as restaurants,  sports bars (T-squared), TGR Designs, and TGL. The 15x major winner’s design company, TGR Designs, has designed 8 PopStrokes locations. This includes Scottsdale, Arizona; Orlando (Waterford Lakes), Port St. Lucie, Houston, Tampa, Fort Myers, Glendale, and Sarasota.

However, as an investor, Tiger Woods can be considered the owner of all 13 PopStrokes that exist as of now. Other than the eight locations he has designed, PopStrokes are also located in Tuscaloosa, Myrtle Beach, Las Vegas, Delray Beach, and Dallas + The Colony.

With the motto “Eat, Putt, Drink,” PopStrokes strives towards building a niche of golf that will be both enjoyable and challenging at the same time for golfers of all ages. With that vision in mind, it exhibits “synthetic turf greens, mounding, bunkers, and rough that are higher versions of the turf and a different color,” according to On the Greens Magazine.

But the reception of these PopStrokes has been so widely accepted that along with Tiger Woods and later joined investors in 2023, TaylorMade, several new locations are announced to be opening soon.

Upcoming Pop Strokes in College Markets

Tiger Woods shared on his X handle back in 2023 that there might be an increase of 13 new locations for PopStrokes. The founder, Greg Bartoli, stated, “We are seeing huge consumer demand to bring our immersive experience into new cities.”

To attend to that public demand, PopStrokes will be attempting to increase its reach in the college market. According to The Eagle, the PopStrokes team is trying to plan a strategic design for college markets. They have mentioned how joining the universities as partners for PopStrokes will be a success. They said, “As we go around the country, College Station quickly rises to the top of that list of places to review. Universities make a great partner, and they made it clear early on they were interested in us being here.”
