It was the 4th hole of the day for Team Woods as Charlie Woods lined up for a 3-par off the tee. They were placed 2nd on the table with Vijay Singh & Qass Singh leading by 1 stroke. Charlie Woods knew that he needed to hit an excellent shot to ensure his team got the advantage.

With a swing replicant of his father, Tiger Woods, the young prodigy hit the ball beautifully with his 7-iron towards the flag. Watching the ball all the way through, Woods saw that it landed on the green close to the flag and seemed quite pleased with himself. Only a second later, the crowd started screaming out loud to his surprise.

What happened? Unbeknownst to the amateur golfer, the ball had actually dropped into the hole. Yes, Charlie Woods scored the first ace of his career at the age of 15! Team Woods took a 2-point lead on the table, leaving behind their rivals, Team Singh.

Interestingly, the first time Tiger Woods scored an ace was at the age of 20. Excited to learn that his son had just hit a hole-in-one, the GOAT embraced Charlie Woods in joy. Not a moment later, Tiger Woods suggested that Charlie Woods would have to follow the tradition and treat everyone with a drink after scoring his first ace. To this, the young Charlie Woods replied, “I am broke,” making everyone around him crack up.

Charlie Woods’s ace opened doors to great plays

Having taken the lead from Vijay Singh & Qass Singh, Team Woods was on a high as they proceeded to the next hole. However, the in-form Team Singh was eager to fight back for their place as well. Just a hole later, Vijay Singh hit an excellent eagle from outside the green to go back up on the top. This put Tiger Woods & Charlie Woods 1 point behind them in the leaderboard. Despite their rivals being only a point behind them, it mostly seemed like a two-horse race.

However, that changed at the 5th hole when Padraigh Harrington’s son, Paddy Harrington brought them back into the game. Replicating Charlie Woods from a few minutes ago, Paddy hit a 185-yard hole-in-one himself to put Team Harrington at the same points as Woods & Team Singh at the top of the table.
