With the FedEx Cup playoffs getting underway, the hype in the golf world is on a new high. Who would not want to dominate the golf course and take a cut out of the whopping $20 million prize purse? Tensions are soaring since only the top 50 in the rankings qualify to play at the next event, and at the center of it all is none other than Lucas Glover.

Leading the scoreboard after the second round, Glover will look to keep up his momentum and cement his position. However, despite the intense competition, the 43-year-old did not hesitate to extend his helping hand to a fellow PGA Tour Pro, leaving many in the golfing community touched and in awe.

Coming in strong into the tournament after his victory at the Wyndham Championship, Glover has been the favorite to win the event. But even as the pressure builds up for the golfer and the surrounding players, he made certain that his colleague, Tommy Fleetwood, was in top condition on the course.

The duo was seen battling the intense heat as they duked it out on the field. When asked whether he worried about his colleague, Glover responded by saying that he made sure Fleetwood remained hydrated as they were on the 12th tee. “I said, I know you don’t like to, but I need you to drink some water today for me,” continued the 43-year-old as he mentioned the conversation that he had with the Englishman.

He further explained how Fleetwood was sweating while they were well into the second day. When inquired about the same, the English pro golfer, although grateful, let him know that Glover did not have to worry about him. Continuing with his answer, the golfer said, “I said, well, I kind of do, and I’m going to,” while expressing his concern for the 32-year-old.

Describing how he helped Fleetwood during the game, the American golfer said, “Yeah, I kept up with him, but I had some amino acids on the turn and gave him a pack”. The heat affected him so much that he had to finish a bottle of “something” during each hole. Even so, he will be looking to stay on top of the leaderboard despite the daunting heat.
