Keegan Bradley thinks about Ryder Cup day and night

Keegan Bradley is in a comfortable spot right now. With the Travelers Championship under his belt, he is a contender for this year’s Ryder Cup with a good chance of making it. This week he is performing at the BMW Championship in Chicago and during its press conference answered some big questions in relation to his Ryder Cup aspirations.

A reporter asked Bradley that since so many new players are also forcing their way into the Ryder Cup picture, what separates him from the new faces? To this, he replied: “Well, I think about the Ryder Cup every second I’m awake basically. My biggest thing right now is trying not to think about it while I’m playing because it’s important to me.”

And being a seasoned player, Bradley thinks that he could bring some experience to the team. All the players he has played with in the Ryder Cup are either done playing or have moved to the senior tour, and so with the younger group of players, he could use his experience.

If chosen, this will be Bradley’s third time in Ryder Cup. The first time he played was in 2012 and after that in 2014. It is clear as water that he is not threatened by the new aspirants and rather wants to play alongside them.

Bradley praises the younger generation of players and their bond

Keegan Bradley is all praise for the young crop of American players. “I find that this younger core of guys to be really a cool group because they seem to really pull for each other, and it would be really fun to be a part of that.” Bradley believes that this will be a new experience since his matches in the Ryder Cup or President’s Cup in the past have been with Phil Mickelson. Now he is looking forward to playing with the Team US captain for this year, Zach Johnson.

The BMW Championship is the second round of the FedEx Cup playoff. If Bradley succeeds here, which means breaking into the top-30 on points, then he will move forward to the final round of The Tour Championship next week.
