And it was after his ex-wife, Laura Andrassy, opened up about how she was allegedly betrayed by Norman.

And in a similar situation, Norman’s ex-wife, Laura Andrassy once opened up about details related to how Norman and his newfound love Chris Evert put her out of the picture. “She came after him – I have never seen anything like it,” Andrassy said in an interview back in 2007. Andrassy explained that Evert was a friend of hers before falling in love with Norman. “I never would have thought anyone would be so aggressive (in pursuing him) in front of me like I didn’t exist,” she said. “It just turned into a fiasco. I really don’t have a lot of respect for her as a woman – she is not a great person.”.

How did Norman and Evert begin to have feelings for each other?

Evert befriended Andrassy and managed to stay with her and Norman with her then-husband Olympic skiing champion, Andy Mill, who also happened to be Norman’s best friend at the time. All four of them spent a lot of time together and even stayed together for the holidays.

According to Andrassy, things started to cook between Norman and Evert when the four of them went fishing with American Today Show host, Matt Lauer. And it was not too late when she found out that Norman, who she called “the love of my life”, was all set to file a divorce. “It was a shock – I never thought it would get to this point, I never expected it would go to divorce,” she said.

But it was too late since Norman was already flaunting his love affair with the tennis star!
