People know John Daly for his surprising victory at the 1991 PGA Championship. They know that he lives a free-spirited lifestyle, unlike other golfers, and has always shared good and bad events from his life without filtering. However, not many know much about the John Daly Charity Golf Tournament he conducts every year!

Daly donated $30,000 from the first time he won a major to two children whose father lost his life after being struck by lightning while attending the event. From then onwards, the golfer has never forgotten to give back to his community. And the Annual John Daly Golf Classic is a part of it.

This year marks the 31st time he will be helping the community by raising money. Here is everything you need to know about the 31st event the golfer is conducting this year!

Date, Venue, and more about the John Daly Charity Golf Tournament

The 2022 John Daly Classic will begin from June 19 to 21. The event is conducted by the Daly’s Major Ed Heart of a Lion Foundation to raise money to provide mental, physical, and wellness support to children, first responders, and veterans.

According to the Winning Ticket website, the first day of the event is solely dedicated to raising money. A live auction will take place in the morning, whereas there will be a live music show at the Margaritaville Hotel in the evening.

Notably, the Margaritaville Hotel is one of the six sponsors that helps Daly in setting up the charity event. The other sponsors include Hooters, Pickers Vodka, and National Watermelon Association.

The Old Natchez Country Club will host the golf tournaments on the second day of the event. The registration for the event will be at 7 am, with the opening ceremony and Morning Shotgun at 8 am. The afternoon registration will begin at 12 pm, and the opening ceremony and Afternoon Shotgun at 1 pm.

The main attraction of the golf tournament is the chance to getting chance to play with the two-time major winner.

How to get a chance to play with Daly?

Since it is a charity event, one would need to bid in an auction to be able to play with Daly. “John will be the ‘5th’ on your team,” the description of the auction says.
