Since its inception in 2021 and the first tournament in 2022, LIV Golf has turned the heads of many. This is especially true owing to the elements it boasts that go against the traditional style followed in the game of golf. While many do find it an eyesore, it’s not as if everyone has been against the Saudi-backed league. Well, the situation hasn’t changed much, even now.

A tweet was shared by Dan Rapaport on his social media handle, all the while taking a jab at the style of music being played in the background. However, while people did come out in support of his stance, a LIV Golf fan did point out the need for the melodies while dubbing them as nothing short of “white noise”!

To play or not to play music at LIV Golf?

Rapaport mentioned in his post on X that “there’s a lot about the actual broadcast to like” at LIV Golf Mayakoba as long as one watches it “on mute.” Adding on, he highlighted the EDM music being played while pointing out how the same “pumping in the background makes it really, really hard to build any tension on the final holes on Sunday,” taking a subtle jab at the PIF-funded circuit.

Replying to the tweet on social media, LIV Golf Enthusiast decided to once again address the issue of the various songs being blasted on the speakers. They posted, “It creates a white noise effect that covers much of the other fan distractions for the players,” before going ahead to bring focus to another aspect of the same. The handle also divulged how it “helps as a spectator” since “people aren’t being policed & hushed as much while walking the course.” If that is the case, then it’s just as they said, “a net win overall!”

Well, it’s not as if the idea of music being played on the speakers did not inspire other competitions. One can’t help but turn their heads to LIV Golf, the league that first introduced the style to the sport.

But even so, Greg Norman has not been turning a blind eye to the amount of criticism that the element has raked in. As a result, reports indicate that the CEO of the Saudi-backed league has reportedly brought a change to the circuit with a bold decision regarding the same.

Flushing It on X shared a tweet on how Norman has managed to turn the volume down and has gone ahead to dial it back to the point where “it’s almost unnoticeable.” Continuing with the post, the handle went ahead to sing praises to the production team for managing to turn the viewing experience into one that was good for the fans.
