The player also had an interesting take on golf’s evolving nature. He said that golf “is now becoming a team sport.” He finds it comforting that he has three other guys to go to for advice as he is just starting out in the sport.

The all-Australian Rippers GC walked away winners after playing some excellent golf and securing a victory at the LIV Bedminster Event. Cam Smith was instrumental as he swept by Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri with a margin of 7 shots.

Last month at London, Smith secured the individual championship title but, his team, Ripper GC, fell just one stroke shy of forcing a playoff. This occurred due to a crucial par putt being missed on the last hole, resulting in Smith and his team facing disappointment. This Sunday, Smith and his entirely Australian Rippers ensured there were no uncertainties, leaving nothing to luck.

As Smith comfortably rested at a seven-shot win, the Rippers GC finally achieved a milestone by clinching their first team championship with an impressive 11-stroke lead. This marked the most substantial team victory margin seen this season!
