So, will she be able to compete to win her second major later this month? The major winner is currently competing at the 2023 Meijer LPGA Classic being held at Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Michigan. Lexi Thompson’s recent struggles on and off the course

Over the years, Lexi Thompson has become a force to be reckoned with, thanks to her stellar golfing chops. After all, she broke into the scene at a very young age, winning her first LPGA event at age 16!

Off late, however, Thompson has had a fairly up-and-down time out on the greens. She is only making her fifth start of the year at the Meijer LPGA Classic. Her last appearance had come at the Founders Cup in May, where she could only muster up a T31 finish. Her last appearance in a major event had also ended disastrously.

The golfer has also been very vocal about her struggles with injuries and mental health-related troubles. In April, she came into the Chevron Championship with a wrist injury after a significant time away from action. However, the 11-time LPGA Tour winner shocked the golf world after she missed the cut to exit early. Meanwhile, in 2022, she opened up about her emotional struggles following her mother’s cancer diagnosis.
