DJ who is still awaiting his first win this season, is certainly looking to grab the $4 million winner’s check. But on the event’s first day, his unfortunate human moment may have just pushed him a bit further away from it!

The first day of the Tulsa event ended on a good note for the 38-year-old golfer. Johnson shot 63, a 7-under par, and is now only two strokes behind the leader Branden Grace in a tie for second after the first round. And although things ended well for the golf pro, it wasn’t all a blast!

During the round, at one point, Johnson was trying to make a shot onto the greens when something unexpected happened—he shanked it. As soon as he hit it, the ball soared into the air at a 45-degree angle to the right, straight outside the ropes. Flushing It shared the video of the wayward strike on Instagram, and ironically, it was a hit! After all, it is a rare sight to see some of the best golfers hitting a shank.
