Having faced criticism on the subject throughout his career, Langer has been fed up with cheating allegations around his putting. More recently, the onslaught came after Langer won his 45th PGA Tour Champions event, which equaled the record held by Hall of Famer Hale Irwin.
Interestingly, several netizens claimed that the veteran golfer used his chest as an anchor point for his putting. Despite all the criticism, Langer has come forward to defend his putting, claiming that his actions were well within the rules. He has been well-backed by the USGA body on the matter as well.
