Is this what a gentleman’s game looks like? Golf can often get intense and that can make the players act out of order. While some blurt out profanities, others resort to vandalism. Either way, these players often let their emotions get the best of them and are caught in the limelight for disorderly conduct.
More recently, Tyrrell Hatton’s outbursts at DP World Tour events have caught a lot of attention. Playing in the last event of the season, fans all across the world saw Hatton break his club after a disappointing drive. This received a lot of reactions from the fans as some loved his passion while others criticized his aggression.
However, in some situations, the reaction of players is so abrupt and ‘over the line’, that they receive nothing but negative comments. One such incident occurred a few hours ago on a golf course.

Shared by @NUCLRGOLF on their X account, the caption simply read, “⛳️ Boxing Day brawl on the golf course 🥊 😲 “What the f**k is going on here?” If this wasn’t clear enough, a video attached, showed six golfers having a go at each other on the course. No, they were not in an intense battle of strokeplay. Instead, they were probably only missing the squared circle as they were in a fistfight.

The 42-second video captured some peak moments from the contest from quite a distance. The only thing that was probably missing from the video was a referee dressed in black and white stripes. Is this what Logan Paul meant when he said he wanted to play golf?

After catching the wild action from the video, golf enthusiasts had a lot to say about the sport. @JoeyLmx66 suggested, “Clearly, they didn’t all agree on the gimme,” jokingly indicating that the players are fighting because they didn’t agree on the short putt gimme distance, which is fair to say does lead to a lot of players scuffling over about. @JeffSargeant2 compared the confrontation with an infamous boxing match from a few days ago as they said, “More uppercuts than the Tyson/Paul fight,” while poking fun at Logan Paul’s brother and now retired Mike Tyson. @eagle3 shared their views on the video: “Unless you’re a decent player, you can’t convince me hackers find golf to be an enjoyable experience. Slow play, lost balls & and a thrown club or two leads to high frustration. My guess is that happens when a group gets tired of waiting on every shot & hits into the group ahead.” Is the PGA Tour still responsible for the pace of play here? But well, can’t bring the professional into the unprofessionalism here. Even though slow play is a real problem, it cannot exactly be attributed to the scuffle here.
@TheNautySauce stated “These guys definitely are LIV enthusiasts.”, suggesting that LIV Golf fans are often more physically expressive. @DanOKeefe775152 also said, “Definitely not PGA players, they dress like golfers, must be an LIV event🤔⁉️” hinting that LIV Golf players can only act in such a fashion. They probably forgot the Tom Kim locker room incident that was in the headlines a few weeks ago. Speaking from experience, @abracooldadbro mentioned, “This is what the LIV golf league has done to the sport. Back in the 50s when I played this would have been settled with a gentle men’s duel”, as they criticized the modern concept of play implemented by LIV Golf which is ruining the gentleman’s game. @GeoffJordan5 directed their comment towards one LIV Golf player as they tweeted, “Bryson [DeChambeau] fans…growing the game.”
