Modeling and photoshoot are part of the job in case you are a model. However, at times, models don’t mind having a bold photo shoot. In the golf space, no model or influencer is more renowned than Paige Spiranac. The Maxim 2022 Sexiest Woman Alive once had a heated argument on Twitter with an ESPN host over a bold photo shoot.
Back in 2018, Spiranac had one of her biggest breaks in the mainstream media, when she was chosen as the Sports Illustrated Swimsuits model. However, hours after the magazine cover was released, former ESPN reporter, Britt McHenry, shared her disappointment with the former pro’s bold photo shoot.

Former ESPN reporter questioned Paige Spiranac’s bold photo shoot
Following the release of the 2018 SI Swimsuit cover, Spiranac’s big moment was questioned by McHenry. The former ESPN reporter wrote, “Why does a woman have to pose nude to feel ’empowered’?” She further added how wearing more clothes and going to the office is much more empowering, before claiming that how Sports Illustrated is “desperately wanting to compete IG models with gimmicks”.
Different women feel empowered in different ways and it’s not right to tell someone what they can and cannot do. It’s more about the person you are and not the clothes you decide or not decide to wear. My body, my choice. https://t.co/CwGlgJX51z

It only took Spiranac a few minutes to respond, as the SI cover model clapped back at Britt McHenry. “Different women feel empowered in different ways”, tweeted Spiranac. She further added how everyone has their own choice to wear or not wear whatever they like. “My body, my choice”, wrote the social media sensation at the end.

But, the former ESPN reporter had more words to share. Though McHenry agreed with Spiranac on doing whatever with your body, she still believed that “posing nude is a way to ascertain empowerment through vanity”. She further added that it’s her opinion on the controversial topic.

However, Paige Spiranac had her final say after sharing a photo of herself from the shoot, in which no clothes could be seen. She captioned it with a sarcastic message, “Thanks, I will”. Nonetheless, McHenry got personal in the final message to the former pro golfer.
Britt McHenry takes a personal jibe at Paige Spiranac
In the final tweet in the tiff between the sports personalities, McHenry brought back Spiranac’s emotional press conference from Dubai Ladies Classic in 2016. The former pro golfer was in tears while addressing the cyberbullying she faced back then.
However, two years later, the emotional moment was brought back to life by McHenry. “Ok, but you’ve literally cried at press conferences about how you’re not taken seriously in golf”, tweeted the ESPN reporter. Despite being a model herself, Britt McHenry claimed to never “entertain anything nude”.

Paige Spiranac didn’t respond to the reporter and moved on from the feud. However, that didn’t stop Spiranac from having bold photoshoots. She continued her shoots and was crowned Maxim’s Sexiest Woman Alive earlier this year. It would be intriguing to know what McHenry thought of this.
