For Nelly Korda, golf attire is, self-admittedly, her comfort zone and uniform for most of her public life. But over the past year, she’s begun to appear in settings that put her far outside the fairway. In 2024, she attended the Met Gala, marking her first major fashion-world red carpet. Months later, she posed for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, a rare crossover for a professional golfer. Even her own Instagram has reflected the shift, with a post in a fitted dress here and there. And now she’s adding another chapter to her persona with a Nike × SKIMS campaign.

Korda announced the move with an Instagram carousel previewing the NikeSKIMS line. In the photos, she wears a chocolate-toned set: a sculpting bra and leggings, moving through poses that show off both the fit of the apparel and her athletically toned physique. The caption reads, “I feel powerful every time I move in NikeSKIMS. NikeSKIMS arrives September 26,” and just like that, we don’t just have a launch date, but also a world no. 2 female golfer stepping beyond golf’s usual boundaries.
Props for the statement go to the debut apparel line under the new Nike × SKIMS joint effort. The collaboration feels like a natural fit, bringing together Nike’s deep experience with athletes and SKIMS’ focus on the body and movement. Unveiled on September 22, the line spans seven core collections and 58 silhouettes, designed to be layered, mixed, and matched in over 10,000 ways. The debut campaign, Bodies at Work, directed by Janicza Bravo, features more than 50 athletes, including Serena Williams, Jordan Chiles, and Nelly Korda herself, all speaking the line’s emphasis on strength, balance, and versatility. While this is Korda’s first time working with Skims, she’s already lent her name, style, and input to Nike before.

Earlier this year, Korda had another standout Nike collaboration with the Free Golf ’24 shoe, released in Summer 2025. That drop included a special edition colorway tagged to Korda: white and sail tones, punctuated by bold red and yellow swooshes, a marbled multi-color outsole, and a playful charm bracelet around the shoe collar. The highlight of the shoe probably has to be the bracelet, but taking things a step further, each charm carries personal meaning: a tennis racket nodding to her parents’ tennis legacy, a lion representing her logo and zodiac sign, and other decorative touches. Korda’s signature was also inscribed inside the insole, adding a personal finishing touch.

For Korda, as she’d shared after her swimsuit shoot, what’s great about these opportunities is that, “You do get to step outside your comfort zone and do something different.” That being said, the NikeSKIMS release still feels special in its own right. Just as the swimsuit shoot left fans and media with jaws on the floor, this collection is drawing similar reactions– not from her followers but fellow LPGA players and athletes.

Australian tennis star Ajla Tomljanovic simply wrote, “Wow 😍,” expressing her admiration for Korda’s looks and collab. Even Korda’s sister, Jessica, playfully joined in, saying, “I’m door dashing you donuts,” perhaps to tempt her sister into sugary cravings. Athlete Anna Hall commented that Korda was “stunning,” summing up the widespread appreciation the golfer had already received.
