Why did DeChambeau clear his name from the PGA Tour lawsuit?

Already a rising name in the PGA Tour’s books, many were left surprised to DeChambeau walk away after earlier claims of loyalty. The move followed him into lawsuits against the PGA Tour and similar bodies, some of which are at the brink of conclusion.

While the European Tour reigned supreme over its defectors, a similar story could soon unfold in the country. The latest reports claim that DeChambeau has taken off his name from the high-profile lawsuit, which means there are no other golfers left. The 29-year-old signed up for the case after the PGA Tour denied his PIP money over his LIV switch.

Once signed and backed by eleven LIV-contracted players, the case is left with no benefactors other than the LIV Golf Series itself. Is it a blow to the league’s chances to create a stronghold in the years to come? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
