The end of the second round of the 2025 PGA Championship saw some shocking shifts on the leaderboard. Jhonattan Vegas maintained his emphatic lead as he now sits two strokes clear of the field. Max Homa and Si Woo Kim scored 7-under 64 to jump up more than 50 places on the leaderboard. They are not placed at T5 and T2, respectively. On the other end, Rory McIlroy and defending champion Xander Schauffele barely scraped through with a +1 after two rounds. While the unexpected is happening at Quail Hollow, the tee times for the penultimate round of the major have also been drastically affected. Let’s take a look at when the favorites will tee off hours before the action begins on Saturday.
PGA Championship 2025: Round 3 tee times
The second round of the 2025 PGA Championship saw plenty of action from all 156 golfers on the field. Jordan Spieth started the day with an outstanding eagle on the par-5 10th hole. His amazing approach shot landed the ball 8 feet and 3 inches away from the cup. The 3-time major winner sank it to keep his hopes of a Grand Slam alive. Hideki Matsuyama was seen driving on the practice course as he looked ever so pumped up and energized. Rickie Fowler also looked good to make it to the next round mid-way through the day. Unfortunately, all of them dropped points in the last few moments at Quail Hollow to miss the cut.
