After 1 PM on August 4, the Sacramento Fire Department rushed to Haggin Oaks Golf Complex after getting an emergency report of the plane crash. They have reported the truth of the incident. The small plane was a single-engine Piper 28A. The pilot took off from McClellan Airfield just a little ahead of 1 p.m. By the time the Piper reached almost 400 feet above sea level, the pilot could sense its engine failing.

According to the Fire Department, the pilot knew that he was not going to make it to any nearby airport for the emergency landing. Hence, when he saw a golf field, he did not waste any time. KCRA reported, “The pilot saw the golf course and brought it down with a belly landing. The plane skidded off the grass into the pavement and then came to rest against the pro shop.”

The Sacramento Fire Department also shared the news on their X handle. They reported, “Haggin Oaks Golf Course. Crews arrived on a plane that emergency landed on the golf course and came to rest up against the pro shop. The pilot had minor injuries and was able to walk away from this incident. No others were injured.” Along with that, they have also shared a video of the aftermath of the crash.
