Claude Harmon III, the famous golf instructor and a former golf professional, recently spoke about Mickelson’s situation. Moreover, while speaking with Sky Sports, he talked about the six-time major championship winner on Day 3 of the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson at TPC Craig Ranch. Harmon gave his opinion on Mickelson’s withdrawal from the second major championship event and added a few bold words about the same.
Not to forget, Mickelson was a part of the list earlier released by the PGA Championship. But on May 14, the news broke out that the defending champion had withdrawn from the major championship that will take place at Southern Hills Country Club on May 19.

He added, “I just think the loser to me is the game of golf, that we’re talking about all of this other garbage as opposed to talking about what a great player and a great champion like Phil Mickelson is doing on the golf course. I just think it’s sad that this is what we’re dealing with and this is what we have to talk about.”

Mickelson won his first major championship in 2004. He emphatically succeeded at the 2004 Masters at Augusta National and picked up his maiden green jacket. He shot a final round of three-under-par, 69 to finish on the top of the leaderboard. His final round included one birdie and three bogeys on the opening nine holes.
