And McIlroy chose to spend them uniquely, by shooting for a secret project.

As shared by GOLF.com on X, the Grand Slam champion was seen showing off all four major titles by the bay. He was also wearing his Green Jacket, standing on top of a rock formation at Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland. As the news outlet wrote, “Rory McIlroy was seen at Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland with all four major championship trophies and his green jacket. Something major in the works? 👀”

Facing a crew of people, McIlroy had his hands in his pockets as he was posing for them. It made it seem like he was getting pictures taken with all four major titles while wearing the Green Jacket. As one of the fans commented, “Let the man make his Christmas card in peace.” Maybe that’s exactly what he might be doing, considering how close we are to the end of the year. But he could also be involved in a shoot for a magazine.

Either way, the entire setup seems quite interesting. In another picture posted by someone, you can also see lighting and reflectors positioned in the location. So that confirms that it is certainly some kind of photoshoot. We will have to keep an eye out for top golf magazines and Rory McIlroy’s social media account to understand what this is about.

Apart from his major Grand Slam project, Rory McIlroy was also involved in another interesting shoot recently. Days after the DP World India Championship, the Irishman collaborated with VFX creator Brandon B. For anyone who doesn’t know, Brandon is known for creating unique videos using VFX that turn ordinary situations into a fantasy.

With McIlroy, the creator developed a video from the perspective of a golf ball when the Irishman hits a hole-in-one. He captured his swing, the ball flying across the field, and then falling into the cup before Rory McIlroy picked it up to celebrate the accurate finish. The video was also in collaboration with the DP World Tour. Hence, the visuals during the fantasy stroke include sideboards of the DP World Tour as well.
