In the press conference of the 2024 US Open at Pinehurst Resort & C.C. (Course No. 2), ASAP Sports reported Tiger Woods getting asked about his son, Charlie’s responsibility on the course. Woods alluded to his earlier participation in this season’s Master’s and said, “As far as his responsibilities, it’s the same. I trust him with my swing and my game. He’s seen it more than anybody else in the world. He’s seen me hit more golf balls than anyone.”

After establishing how much Woods trusts his son, he also explored the perks of having him on the course. He confessed that having Charlie on the course feels special as they continue to have a great father-son relationship, where both parties are active in golf. Woods also commented, on how the responsibility taken by his son gets further merit as he has fresh inputs which Woods might overlook from time to time.

He disclosed, “He gave me a couple little side bits today, which was great, because I get so entrenched in hitting certain putts to certain pins, I tend to forget some of the things I’m working on.”

During the 88th Masters earlier this year, Tiger Woods had his career’s worst play and finished at T52 position. But along with his performance, his son’s presence at the scene also got much attention from both the community and the fandom. Although his father did not perform well, Charlie’s encouraging words certainly gave Woods a moral boost.

But along with the responsibilities, Tiger Woods aims for an experience that is wonderful for both of them.

Woods further commented that his son’s presence also reminds him to have his game moving forward. He revealed, “I just want to see the balls rolling. He reminds me every now and again, which is great. We have a great relationship and rapport like that, and it’s a wonderful experience for both of us.”

He also revealed that his son was thrilled to witness Max and Min Woo playing this Monday. Furthermore, they also shared many conversations with the young golfer. Woods also shed light upon how they were closer to his son’s age and insinuated his own aged participation in the tournament.

However, he confessed that one thing that will be coming out of this is something beneficial for Charlie, “It’s neat for him to see the guys that he watches on TV and YouTube and TikTok, whatever the hell it is that they do. At home, he’s with JT and Rick a lot. But to see other guys hit the golf ball, it doesn’t really do it justice until you actually see it in person.”
