‘The Rival Golf Tour We Need’: Fans React to Nickelodeon’s New Competition Featuring Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, and Others
The world often comes up with innovative ways to combine fun and sport. This time, Nickelodeon seems to have come up with the best way to put together a golf cup. Starring icons like Justin Thomas and Jon Rahm, this seems to be a new and interesting method to introduce kids to golf. Although not every kid will be willing to sit through 18 holes.
A usual PGA Tour event stretches over days, which might not be the ideal sport for kids to enjoy. Most children lean towards something fast-paced, often elevated via a splash of color. To make sure kids are locked in, the channel has now come up with the ‘Slime Cup’. Overall, everyone seems to be excited, hyping the event up on social media.

Just with the trailer, one can tell how unique the event is. Thomas, Collin Morikawa, and Jon Rahm are easily noticeable, along with Lexi Thompson and Terry Crews. The tournament itself, featuring seven holes and teams, is a stark contrast to the usual event.
Fans are riled up, convinced that this is the rival golf league everyone needs in their life.

What makes it interesting are the four teams that are made. The teams will have one professional, one actor like Crews, and one Nickelodeon star.

However, the final round seems to take the cake. The location for the round is the Rose Bowl stadium, a premium venue saved for iconic performances. The prize on this end is a ‘slime-green blazer’, which might not be preferable to those actually playing.
“This is relay about making a fun, entertaining golf show,” Robbins added. At the end of the day, no one can deny the initiative. It serves as a good way to introduce young minds who might want to try out golf soon.
