Hatton was searching for his name on the wooden plaque card in the video. Hatton remarked after taking a peek at the plaque, “Where am I?” After that, he indicated one place and claimed that, by alphabetical logic, he ought to be there. He then replied, “Am I missing something?” and pointed to Viktor Hovland’s name. After some awkward silence, the staff informed him that his name had been spelled incorrectly. Hatton then retorted that perhaps the name should have just had one “r.”
The Englishman won his first PGA Tour title at the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational. He qualified for the US Open through his top 60 world ranking. In the 2018 US Open, he tied for sixth place. He has 10 wins under his name, including the 2021 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. Looking at his great career, we can expect great game from him. But the US Open is still hours away; let’s see how fans reacted to his video.
