In fact, it seems that he is also pushing his limit, considering that he is already talking about an increase in ball speed. Moreover, the fact that he has confirmed that he will be using the Bridgestone VS Proto ball in 2026 will excite many fans who have been keenly waiting for his return since 2024.
Interestingly, this is not the first time fans have heard about his association with Bridgestone. He had shot content with them a couple of days ago already.
Woods had already hinted that he was about to make a return soon before his surgery. Back in September 2025, he had left a cryptic message on Instagram saying, “I’ve always had the belief that I can execute anything in competition because I’ve done it. I’ve done countless reps in practice. That drives my confidence.” That suggested that he might make a comeback soon. But things didn’t go as he had planned, as he sustained another back injury.

Which Tour will Tiger Woods play in if he does make a comeback?
Logically speaking, by the time he has recovered, Tiger Woods would have turned 50 already and probably would have opted for the Champions Tour. And many of his former rivals are keenly waiting for him to take over the Seniors Tour. But the question is, would the PGA Tour leaders really want the big cat to do that?
Tom Pernice Jr. discussed the possibility of Woods joining the Champions Tour in 2026. He said, “If the Tour wants him to play out here. Does the Tour want Tiger to stay over there (on the PGA Tour) as opposed to play over here? That is the question.” He believes that Brian Rolapp would value Tiger Woods too much to allow him to switch to the Champions Tour. Instead, he would try to convince the 15-time major winner to remain on the PGA Tour and drive in the fans.
