Tiger Woods is a legendary golfer and former No. 1. He has a huge fan following all over the globe. His form, his game techniques, and his consistency have been inspiring young golfers worlwide. And with all this, his huge fan following has several significant people…one of them is Donald Trump.

Since Woods first arrived as a golf great on the public stage, at 21, Donald Trump has been his fan. However, he has been developing Woods as a celebrity. Woods can add a sheen to his properties that are present all around the world.

Tiger Woods and Donald Trump’s relationship

Tiger Woods won his first Masters title in 1997, and he celebrated in Atlantic City at the Taj Mahal casino. Woods got photographed with the owner of the property, Donald Trump, and they ate pork chops together. Since Woods’ victory, Trump named a villa after him at the Trump National Doral Miami. He went abroad on business with Woods and announced that Woods will design a course in Dubai in 2014. It was part of a luxury residential mega project.

After this, Trump presented Woods with the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his amazing comeback at 43 after a long championship void.

After being seen with Trump several times, people were calling Woods out for taking a political approach. Hi relation with Trump escalated and it was taken as a strong political statement. Woods denied this and told that he is not a political person. In 2017, he said, “Our discussion topics were wide-ranging,” “We both enjoyed the bantering, bickering and needling,” he said, adding, “We didn’t have a match and played for fun.”

Woods and Trump played golf twice since Donald Trump became president, and once when Trump was president-elect. However, he did not like how their playing made everyone see Woods as a political person. He just respected the office of president like any regular citizen.
